Cajun Garlic Shrimp(ケイジャンガーリックシュリンプ)

What kind of dish is Cajun Garlic Shrimp??

A fragrant dish of grilled shrimp marinated in garlic and Cajun spices. The distinctive aroma of Cajun spices whets the appetite. I use mixed spices, but you can also season it with simple Cajun spices, salt, and garlic.

I use Cajun spices that I bought at Kaldi. Contains peanuts, roasted sesame seeds, salt, chili pepper, cashew nuts, cumin, oregano, sage, etc.

“KALDI COFFEE FARM” is a store that mainly sells coffee beans and has locations all over Japan. They offer a coffee distribution service at the store, and the aroma of the coffee draws you in and makes you visit the store.

The reason Kaldi has become so popular is because of its wide selection of products. Many products are imported from overseas, and there is a wide variety of products on display, including wine, snacks that go well with wine, sweets with stylish packaging, and mysterious seasonings.

It’s a space that feels like a treasure hunt. I end up buying things I didn’t plan on buying.

  • grated garlic 3g
  • olive oil 30g
  • asparagus 80g

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

① Soak frozen soft shell shrimp in ice water for several hours to thaw.

② Cut off only the legs with scissors. (I cut the legs because I don’t like them, but if you don’t mind, you can skip this step.)

③ Soak shrimp, white wine, spices, and garlic in plenty of oil for several hours.

④ Remove the strings from the asparagus.

⑤ Put a small amount of the oil in which the shrimp were marinated into a frying pan and sauté the asparagus.

⑥ Take out the asparagus and fry the shrimp. Adjust the heat to avoid burning the nuts and garlic.

⑦ Pour hot water into a water bottle, add eggs and cover. Wait for about 10 minutes.

⑧ Arrange asparagus and shrimp on a plate.

⑨ Place the egg on the asparagus.

It’s delicious when you mix shrimp with eggs. Japanese eggs are manufactured under strict sanitary controls, so they can be eaten raw.
