Tandoori chicken(タンドリーチキン)

What is tandoori chicken??

Tandoori chicken is one of the traditional dishes of India. Chicken marinated in spices, yogurt, and other ingredients, then grilled in a tandoor oven. The unique flavor is irresistible.

Since there is no tandoor oven in ordinary homes, I made a recipe for tandoori chicken that can be made in a frying pan so that it can be easily made at home. After rubbing the seasoning into the chicken thigh, all you have to do is fry it in a frying pan, so it’s super easy to make.

The juicy chicken thigh is seasoned with a punch of garlic and ginger for a spicy flavor that goes well with rice and alcohol. Easy and delicious.

If you want a more authentic taste, add chili pepper or paprika powder to make your favorite masala.

You can also grill it in the oven. If using an oven, preheat it to 230 degrees, set the baking sheet on the middle shelf and bake for 25 minutes. After about 15 minutes, when it starts to brown, cover it with aluminum foil. (230°C is 446°F.)

  • chicken thigh 300g
  • ☆plain yogurt 35g
  • ☆curry powder 5g
  • ☆grated garlic 3g
  • ☆grated ginger 3g
  • ☆ketchup 15g

Japanese tandoori chicken COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

① Wipe the surface of the chicken with kitchen paper.

② Cut off excess fat.

③ Mix plain yogurt, curry powder, grated garlic, grated ginger and ketchup.

④ Place the chicken and sauce in a plastic bag, rub together, and refrigerate for 1 hour.

⑤ Grill in a frying pan. It burns easily, so cover it with a lid and cook it slowly over low heat. When it is heated to the center, remove the lid and turn the heat to high to evaporate the moisture.
