Chicken salsa(チキンサルサ)
Savory seared chicken thighs topped with a spicy yet refreshing salsa sauce.
In Japan, salsa is generally made by frying and simmering canned tomatoes and onions. In contrast, this recipe only requires chopping and mixing fresh vegetables.
This salsa goes well with white fish and tacos. I like coriander, so I sometimes use it instead of parsley. However, some people don’t like coriander, so this recipe is perfect for them too.
The key ingredients that make it delicious are avocado and Tabasco.
The rich fat and sweetness of avocado and the spiciness and sourness of Tabasco are essential to this recipe.
(Since jalapenos are difficult to find in Japanese supermarkets, Tabasco is the only spiciness used. If you can get jalapenos, adding them will surely make it even more delicious.)
