What kind of dish is Curry Tandoori Chicken Fried Rice ?

This is a recipe for fried rice made by frying chicken that has been marinated in a mixture of curry powder, ketchup, and yogurt together with rice in a frying pan.

Pilaf is originally made from raw rice, while fried rice is made from cooked rice, but in Japan the two dishes are treated as if they are the same thing.

Curry-flavored fried rice is also known as dry curry.

What is tandoori chicken??

Tandoori chicken is one of the traditional dishes of India. Chicken marinated in spices, yogurt, and other ingredients, then grilled in a tandoor oven. The unique flavor is irresistible.

Since there is no tandoor oven in ordinary homes, I made a recipe for tandoori chicken that can be made in a frying pan so that it can be easily made at home. After rubbing the seasoning into the chicken thigh, all you have to do is fry it in a frying pan, so it’s super easy to make.

The juicy chicken thigh is seasoned with a punch of garlic and ginger for a spicy flavor that goes well with rice and alcohol. Easy and delicious.

If you want a more authentic taste, add chili pepper or paprika powder to make your favorite masala.

You can also grill it in the oven. If using an oven, preheat it to 230 degrees, set the baking sheet on the middle shelf and bake for 25 minutes. After about 15 minutes, when it starts to brown, cover it with aluminum foil. (230°C is 446°F.)

INGREDIENTS : Curry Tandoori Chicken Fried Rice (2SERVINGS)

  • Chicken thigh (250g)
    • ☆Salt (2g)
    • ☆Plain yogurt (30g)
    • ☆Curry powder (4g)
    • ☆Garlic (3g)
    • ☆Ginger (3g)
    • ☆Ketchup (15g)
      • Olive oil (4g)
  • Rice (2 cups, 300g)
  • Onion (50g)
  • Green pepper (20g)
  • Zucchini (50g)
  • Carrot (30g)
  • Curry powder (2g)
  • Consommé (5g)
  • Soy sauce (8g)
  • Butter (8g)

How to make Curry Tandoori Chicken Fried Rice

  1. Wipe the surface of the chicken with kitchen paper.
  2. Remove excess skin and white tendons from the chicken with a knife, then cut into 30g pieces.
  3. Mix plain yogurt, curry powder, grated garlic, grated ginger and ketchup.
  4. Place the chicken and sauce in a plastic bag, rub together, and refrigerate for 1 hour. There is no need to refrigerate it in winter.
  5. Heat olive oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken.
  6. Cut half of the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces and mix into the rice, and use the other half as a topping.
  7. Place the rice in the rice cooker and cook on normal mode.
  8. Spread the cooked rice on a tray and let it cool.
  9. Roughly chop the onion, bell pepper, zucchini, and carrot.
  10. Add the chicken (cut into bite-sized pieces), onion, bell pepper, zucchini, and carrots and saute.
  11. Add the rice and mix. Be careful not to crush the rice grains.
  12. Add curry powder, consommé, soy sauce, and butter and fry.
  13. When the seasonings are evenly distributed, it’s done.
  14. Top with the remaining chicken.
