You can also substitute pork or lamb for the meat, depending on your preference. The toppings used this time are green onions and corn, but kimchi, cheese, and fried eggs would also go well with it, so try arranging it according to the situation.
INGREDIENTS of Beef pepper rice
- steamed rice 140g
- oil 5g
- garlic 8g
- beef shoulder 100g
- salt 2g
- pepper appropriate amount
- canned corn 40g
- green onion 5g
- butter 5g
Wagyu beef was on sale so I used lots of it but it was quite fatty so I felt a leaner cut of meat would have been a better choice. Choose the Aussie beef.
Beef pepper rice COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
➀ Cook the rice.
② Cut the garlic and green onions.
③ Rub salt and pepper into the beef.
④ Apply oil to the skillet, add garlic and heat.
Note: Make sure the frying pan is really hot before adding the ingredients. This will help prevent the ingredients from burning to the skillet. The skillet I use is 19cm in diameter.
⑤ Place rice in center of skillet.
⑥ Arrange the beef around the rice and top the rice with the corn, green onions, and butter.
⑦ Cook until the meat changes color.
⑧ When eating, mix everything together.
You can also add soy sauce or yakiniku sauce to taste.
