Macaroni salad(マカロニサラダ)

A hearty dish filled with ingredients such as macaroni, cucumbers, and carrots.

I didn’t use any extra seasonings, just seasoned the mayonnaise with a small amount of vinegar and salt and pepper. It is a seasoning familiar to Japanese people that makes you feel nostalgic and relieved.

It can be kept in the refrigerator for several days, so I make a lot.

This is a basic recipe, so feel free to arrange the ingredients. It is also recommended to use canned tuna instead of ham. Adding a little yogurt is also good.

In Italy, macaroni and spaghetti are collectively called pasta. There are fresh pasta and dried pasta, and there are more than 300 types. Macaroni is classified as short pasta.

Macaroni salad COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

➀ Boil the macaroni. The boiling time depends on the product.

Do not rinse boiled macaroni with water to cool it down. After boiling, take it in a colander and wait until the water evaporates. This is the trick to making it delicious.

② Cut the carrot into strips and boil for 2 minutes. Remove the carrots with a slotted ladle and let cool.

③ Boil the eggs for 12 minutes in the pot that took out the carrots.

④ Peel the shell of the egg and crush it. Don’t grind it too finely.

⑤ Cut the cucumber into strips.

⑥ Cut the ham into strips.

⑦ Mix macaroni, carrot, egg, cucumber, ham, mayonnaise, vinegar, salt and pepper.

⑧ Place the macaroni salad on top of the lettuce and decorate with cherry tomatoes.
